WAGASA MAN

Wagasa Man is a nonfictional superhero(?) appearing at Washington DC. He had always the Japanese Traditional Umbrella up.

I went to see the Barnes Foundation.

Impressionism (Renoir, Monet, Seurat ), Cezanne, Matisse, Van Gogh, Picasso and other masterpieces are exhibited.

I got on a Trolley and came to 19th Street Trolley Station. When going up to the ground, I found a big city.

The buildings were big. That was, I was hungry. Because the bus was delayed by 1 hour, the lunch was one hour behind. I went to CLEAVERS which was a pretty new shop. It was opened in 2015.

The menu looked like this. The price was about 30% cheaper than N.Y. or D.C..

Inside the store was like this.

After all Rocky was very popular.

Well, the sandwich came out like this.

Everybody do not understand the size, so I brought it by my hand.

Huge. If Japanese ate such things everyday, we should be an adult disease.

The taste was somewhat monotonous beef sandwich. Although cheese made a change in taste somewhat, it got bored on the way. I had to change the taste with ketchup or chili sauce, but those taste were also monotonous, after all,I got tired to eat. Half the size was enough for me and almost Japanese.

I have been to New York many times but I have never been to Philadelphia on the way from Washington to New York. Althogh it is midwinter and likes in a freezer, I decided to go to Philadelphia for the first time in my life.

Since it is standard time now, outside is dark at departure.

This picture is taken in the subway, so it is natural that the outside is dark.

The bus departs from Union Station as usual. I use Megabus the same as usual. The same as usual, 5 dollar each way, 10 round trip. It is strange that management is now established. Well, everyone will not be five dollars, though.

And as usual, there was a large delay in departure. I was kept waiting for over an hour. But it is inexpensive because it is cheap.

This is the Susquehanna River.

This is the longest river on the east coast. Although it is icing.

And, iced Philadelphia. It takes about 3 hours from D.C..

There is almost nothing at the bus stop.

30 th Street Station.

Inside of the station.

It seems to be better using tokens for riding public transport in Philadelphia. I will move on Uber where I can not use it, so I bought five tokens.

Now, let's go sightseeing.

I like to visit an estate sale.

We have a lot of estate sales every weekend in Washington D.C.. Almost every weekends, I go to some estate sales.

Today, I went to a estate sale near my home. The estate sale had announced about what they will sell by the website before about 1 month.

EstateSales.Net
https://www.estatesales.net

About 3 weeks ago, I checked the sale near my home, and I expected it very much. Because I had found a very good painting in the sale. The painting is a girl with a red flower hair ornament. Not antique, I think. But I felt that was a wonderful painting.

The website said the estate sale would open at 10 am. And I went there at 9 am. I found 7 people had came already. But, the 8th was OK. Almost estate sales, 10 people is permitted to enter at the first time.

At 10 a.m., over 40 people came to the estate sale. It was the second popular I have ever seen. I knew that this sale would sell a lot of good furniture, paintings, etc. At last the sale opened. Fortunately I found the painting and nobody keep it yet. The price is a little more expensive than I expected, but I decided to buy it. At the moment I told a staff that I would buy that one.

Now, the painting is on the wall of my house.

The moon, the cherry blossoms, and the Han-nya are drawn to this umbrella. Han-nya is a mask of a female demon and often we can see at Kabuki.

This umbrella will be used only fine day. Because it is not coated oil. And because of without oil, it will be able to use long time.

This is for females.
