WAGASA MAN

Wagasa Man is a nonfictional superhero(?) appearing at Washington DC. He had always the Japanese Traditional Umbrella up.

The biggest sight of Philadelphia would be this "Liberty Bell".

Independence, abolition of slavery, freedom, Liberty Bell is a symbol of the United States. Usually it seems necessary to reserve in advance like the Statue of Liberty and the Washington Monument, but it is midwinter and reservation is unnecessary. Although metal inspections are done of course, the observation itself can be done very freely.

I had anticipated a long line, but I got into the museum easily, so it saved me a lot of time.

This is the sights of Philadelphia. Complex where market and food court are integrated. Charging is also possible because there is an outlet on the large pillar of the food court. There is Amish's shop, it is quite cheap. Even just looking at various things is fun, but I think that it is better to try cheese steaks of specialty in Philadelphia. This cheese steak is too huge for Japanese, but if you order with two people you can share it with two if you do not say anything.

A historical preservation area that leaves the streets of the 17th century intact. It is about 150 meters in length. People were living normally, the Comcast was working something. When I thought it was over, Spielberg was filming this time by the location of the movie. It was a lie, I did not know what movie it was. In my intuition, it seems not to be Star Wars.

Whenever I go to major cities in the world, of course, I go to the HRC.

Most HRCs are in prime location, so I do not have to look for. Bought pins as souvenirs for myself.

I usually buy only one, but I bought 2 pins because there was a pin for the 20th anniversary. The staff said "Good choice".

I visited the Philadelphia City Hall.

The building was constructed from 1871 to 1901 by granite and brick. So huge.

I love high places so I always try to climb to the top without hesitating, but I have stopped because it is cold.

By the way, I'm a high phobia.

My stay in the United States is mostly Bed & Breakfast. If a B & B is not good, it will be awfully bad, so I'm worried until I actually get there.

The La Reserve B&B that I stayed was near the Rittenhouse Square. It was close from the bus stop, and transportation to the B&B was very good. The neighborhood road was like this.

This was the entrance of the B&B. Because it was locked, it was safe.

The room was like this. It was large and the bed comfort was also wonderful. Air conditioning was perfect. The toilet and shower were also clean and there was no problem. I mean, absolutely I wanted to live there.

When I went to the shared room in the morning, it was also comfortable.

Breakfast at the dining room.

This B&B is good. Moreover, it is good at a considerably high level. Also, if I come to Philadelphia, I definitely stay here again.

I went to the Philadelphia Art Museum that 5000 prints, of which 4000 Ukiyo-e prints were held.

First I looked at contemporary arts.

Somehow, some people are doing yoga.

People who are copying are often seen at museums in the U.S., but yoga is rare.

And I went to the Japanese exhibition I expected.

That's all. No, of course there were more works exhibited, but Ukiyoe is zero.

REALLYYYYYY?.

I asked a staff, but he answered "What is Ukiyo-e?". I explained it as "Japanese Woodblock print", but it seems that he don't know at all. What the heck.

The number of people doing yoga is increasing.

Since it can not be helped, I decided to walk by watching many masterpieces.

I tried to ask desperately to the receptionist, but he said, "They might be rented out to Japan." Is this museum renting out 5000 prints? There are no choices but museums are stored in large quantities in the backyards.

But at least I wanted some of the representative works to be exhibited.

A huge elevator.

Exterior of the back.

For Japanese, speaking of Philadelphia is "Rocky". And the famous "Rocky Steps" is the big staircase in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Looking from a far, it is like this.

Rocky seems to be loved by a lot of Americans, and a bronze statue was placed.

The building is, of course, an art museum.

When viewing the city of Philadelphia from the top of the Rocky Steps, it is such a view.

The building is cool.

I went to see the Barnes Foundation.

Impressionism (Renoir, Monet, Seurat ), Cezanne, Matisse, Van Gogh, Picasso and other masterpieces are exhibited.
